Stuff!

been like a month, so i guess some stuff has happened since then. i'll try to put this in something resembling chronological order from oldest to most recent or the future.
finished band camp awhile ago, was fun.
the first day of school, i realized that this was going to be a great year, and it is. i've made lots and lots of new friends that are really amazing. i love them.
especially Honors English...i kinda wish i could have it all year.
math is so easy!
passed both of my marching band memorization playing tests with flying colors. first one was over Movements 1 and 2 and the Star-Spangled Banner. the second was over Movement 4 and the chorale.
i also joined the Japanese Club. oh, how i love them.
the here and now:
well, the K-On!! storyline ended Tuesday (There's two bonus episodes), and the manga ended a week ago. anyone who knows me knows that i stuck with this show every Tuesday for the past 24 weeks, excited as hell to watch the new episode. it's still not my favorite anime, but it's one of them. i love the characters and the music. i didn't cry at character death in other animes, but i cried knowing that 4 of the 5 high school girls are graduating and will never play as the Sakuragakou Light Music Club in another high school festival again. the last girl is still in high school. so i'm really sad about that, but it's fine. i'm just hoping they'll make a season 3... :3
well i've had the first cold in like half a year for the past 3 days now. i'm feeling great though.(:
first marching band performances at both football games tomorrow! i'm so excited! and movie night with the Japanese Club!
having a sleepover with the female trumpets on Saturday! it's going to be so cool....we'll have a marshmallow gun. :3
birthday is a week from today~ then i'll be able to take the written test :3

Horn Angles

so i seriously have heard that phrase enough in the past week. D: i don't like horn angles. holding up a trumpet for minutes straight at about 13 degrees above parallel to the ground with your elbows wider than shoulder length leaves your arms feeling like jello. at least they're getting stronger!
band camp is awesome, though it ends tomorrow with a marching performance. :/ 6 and a half hours every day of marching out in the sun with record-breaking heat pays off eventually.
Everest is coming together well for me. except for the steps between set 15 and 16. those darn backward marches. >
